Via Berardi, 14 – Macerata
Monday 28 February the Fine Art Academy of Macerata will assign Francesco Casoli, Vice President of Fondazione Ermanno Casoli and President of Elica, the prestigious Svoboda Prize for Artistic and Creative Talent and an Honorary Degree.
The ceremony, starting at 10 am will take place at the Teatro Auditorium Josef Svoboda in Macerata, during the opening of the XXXIX academic year.
A brilliant entrepreneur, Francesco Casoli has always cultivated a great passion for art and is a supporter of several cultural initiatives. His commitment as a patron to art began in 1997 with the creation of the Ermanno Casoli Contemporary Art Award, and has been ongoing ever since, supporting Fondazione Ermanno Casoli, an institution that was founded in 2007 and that has affirmed itself as an important reality for the development of collaborations between the art world and that of industry.
“The world of art and that of enterprise are very different and have different goals – affirms Francesco Casoli –; however, for a company to invest in art, that is innovation, means investing in its own human capital, enriching it. Art also brings international perspectives into a company: the variety of cultures from different professional communities produces very important results, generating innovation and quality.”
The ceremony will also be attended by Franco Moschini, President of ABAMC – Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata and Director Anna Verducci; opening lecture will be pronounced by Professor Vito Labarile (Università LUM, Bari) and the laudatio by Professor Stefano Chiodi (History of Contemporary Art Professor at ABAMC), and Francesco Casoli will hold the lectio magistralis.
