Deborah Carè, director of Fondazione Ermanno Casoli, has been invited to participate in the meeting Monday 28 March at Università IULM in Milan, for the first edition of Education Lab – Percorsi di formazione dei giovani alla contemporaneità attraverso l’arte.
The initiative, unfolding from 24 to 29 March, is realized by DOCVA Documentation Center for Visual Arts of Careof and Viafarini and by Università IULM,in collaboration with festival dell’arte Contemporanea, ANISA Associazione Nazionale Insegnanti storia dell’Arte, CRAC Centro Ricerca Arte Contemporanea del liceo artistico Munari di Cremona e and some of the most important Italian museums.
With an intensive calendar of meetings and laboratories involving schools, teachers, educational departments, operators and art experts, Education Lab intends to offer visibility to the best practices carried out by museums, institutions, single artists, and operators working in art didactics. All the best experiences currently carried out in our country have been invited to meet for an open convention among different realities dealing with education and training through contemporary art.
In this context Deborah Carè will bear witness to the projects designed and promoted by Fondazione Ermanno Casoli based on learning methods in which art and artists are used as didactic tools. In particular, over the last years the foundation has stood out for its support to dialogue and communication between the world of art and that of enterprise, realizing a series of activities employing contemporary art as an educational method for a company’s personnel. The success of this operation, that has contributed in spreading openness and innovation in the world of enterprise, has induced the foundation to experiment training programs with artists in schools too.
Fondazione Ermanno Casoli has in fact recently undersigned a convention with E. Mannucci High School for Art in the Marche, for the organization of meetings and workshops with artists in school, and initiatives for the teaching of contemporary languages for students and teachers.
At the Monday 28 March appointment, with Deborah Carè there will also be: Mario Airò (artist), Anna Pironti (Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea education department manager), Pier Luigi Sacco (professor of Culture Economics, Università IULM, Milan), Catterina Seia (cultural manager, SusaCulture project).
The meeting, curated by the Faculty of Arts markets and cultural heritages, is open to the public, free entrance, booking recommended at didattica@docva.org, tel/fax 02 66804473, tel 02 331580.
